Santo Domingo.– Businessman Abraham Corporán expressed his dissatisfaction with the development of a judicial process related to the theft of a quantity of gold and demanded that the authorities clarify the whereabouts of the merchandise, while questioning the constant postponements of the hearings.
Upon leaving the courts, Corporán expressed his concern regarding the lack of answers and stated that, despite the time that has passed, he has still not received information about the location of the stolen gold.
“Not a gram, but the prisoners are appearing. The prisoners talk to the Police, not to me,” the businessman stated when referring to the progress of the investigations.
During his statements, he also questioned the handling of the case and requested the intervention of higher authorities to follow up on the process and determine where the stolen material is located.
Corporán called on President Luis Abinader and the Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, to pay attention to the situation and guarantee a response to those seeking justice.
“Authorities are there to protect the citizen,” he stated, noting that there is concern among those affected by the lack of concrete results in the case.
For his part, the businessman’s lawyer assured that the defense is prepared to face any stage of the process and asked the competent authorities to deepen the investigations.
“We are ready to face any stage of that process. From day one we have been prepared,” stated the legal representative.
The jurist insisted on the need to get to the bottom of the case and provide answers regarding the whereabouts of the gold belonging to his client.
