Santo Domingo.- Dominican singer Martha Heredia confirmed this Sunday the passing of her father, Felipe Heredia, through an emotional message posted on her social media on the occasion of Father’s Day.
The artist shared a photograph from her childhood alongside her father and took advantage of the date to dedicate a few farewell words to him, in which she expressed the deep affection and gratitude she felt for him.
“Today I cannot congratulate you, I can only say thank you for being the best dad in the world. Go with God, my old man. See you soon on the other side. I will love you always,” wrote the performer.
Although the post was subsequently deleted from her Instagram account, the message spread quickly among her followers, who expressed their condolences and shows of support for the singer.
So far, the causes of death and the date it occurred have not been disclosed.
Felipe Heredia, a native of Santiago de los Caballeros, dedicated himself to the blacksmith trade for more than four decades. Throughout his daughter’s artistic career, he was present for important moments, providing her with support from the very beginning, including her participation in the Latin American Idol competition.

He also accompanied her during one of the most difficult episodes of her life, when in 2014 she was convicted in a case related to heroin trafficking. Since then, the artist has resumed her musical career and has maintained a close relationship with her audience.
