They deny that AMLO is hospitalized for a cardiac condition.

Information spread on social media claimed that the former president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), had been admitted to a military hospital due to a supposed cardiac ailment. However, federal sources denied that version and assured that the former president has not been hospitalized.

According to authorities consulted by Mexican media, the report about his alleged admission to the hospital is false and there is no record of him being transferred to a medical center for heart problems. The rumor began circulating on social media on Saturday, March 7, generating concern among supporters and users who began to share the version that the former president had suffered a health complication. However, official sources reiterated that “no information confirms that alleged medical problem.”

After concluding his presidential term in 2024, López Obrador largely retired from public life and moved to his estate located in Palenque, in the state of Chiapas, where he has kept a low profile.

Although the politician has a medical history related to the heart —including a heart attack in 2013—, so far there is no official report of a new medical emergency.
