Santo Domingo.- With an emotional message and a gallery of photographs reflecting some of the most special moments she shared with her father, Ana Beatriz, daughter of the late merengue singer Rubby Pérez, remembered the artist on Father’s Day and reiterated her call for justice regarding the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub.
Through an Instagram post, Beatriz paid tribute to the singer, whom she described as a joyful man with a sincere heart and “the best dad in the world,” highlighting the mark he left on her life.
“Today I fight for your smile; even though I no longer see it, I know it will never fade wherever you are,” she wrote at the beginning of her message.
In her own words, the young woman revealed the impact her father’s passing has had and assured that, although his absence remains painful, she keeps his teachings and the moments shared with him present, with the hope that his memory will continue to accompany her in every stage of her life.
“While many people celebrate this day with their fathers, I celebrate the privilege of having had the best dad in the world,” she stated in her post.
In addition to remembering Rubby Pérez as a father, Beatriz took advantage of the date to keep her demand for justice alive regarding the Jet Set tragedy, where the artist lost his life along with hundreds of people after the collapse of the entertainment center’s roof.
In the final part of his message, he addressed a few words to the Espaillat brothers and assured that he will continue to raise his voice so that responsibilities are established for what happened and to honor the memory of all the victims.
