Santo Domingo. On the occasion of Father’s Day in the Dominican Republic, President Luis Abinader dedicated an emotional message in memory of his father, José Rafael Abinader Wasaf, whom he thanked for the teachings and values that shaped his life.
Through his social media, the president shared a video with images of his father and expressed that his greatest inheritance was the example received within his home.
“Today I remember with deep affection and gratitude my father, who taught me that a man’s best legacy is his values, his example, and the love for his family,” wrote the head of state.
In addition to remembering his father, Abinader extended a congratulatory message to all the fathers in the country, highlighting the role they play in the education of their children and in building a better society.
The president thanked the commitment and dedication of Dominican fathers, considering that their daily effort contributes to the strengthening of families and the development of the nation.
