Azua. Two men lost their lives early this Friday morning after being involved in a traffic accident that occurred at kilometer 2.5 of the Sánchez highway, in front of Industria Banileja, in the province of Azua.
The victims were identified as Ángel Jesús Alcántara and Edward Benz Garabito, both 47 years old. According to the medical examiner’s report, both died as a result of multiple blunt force traumas sustained during the impact.
According to preliminary information, the men were traveling on a motorcycle when they collided with a white Hyundai Sonata car. After the accident, the driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene, so their identity has not yet been established.
The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m., while authorities began investigations to clarify the circumstances of the event.

The motorcycle and the car involved were taken to the headquarters of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (DIGESETT) in Azua, as part of the investigative process.
