Punta Cana. A violent incident occurred this Monday afternoon in a Chinese-owned store located in the municipal district of Verón–Punta Cana, where several people were injured during a job recruitment process.
The event occurred in an establishment identified as LONG, located on Barceló Avenue, near the Olé supermarket. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred while interviews and training were being conducted for several job applicants.
According to initial reports, a woman who was participating in the process allegedly reacted aggressively after feeling humiliated and mocked by the person in charge of the training.
The situation led to an altercation that escalated rapidly.

In a moment of staff negligence, the woman managed to disarm the security guard of the premises and fired several shots, causing injuries to various people who were in the place at the time of the incident.
Subsequently, the aggressor handed the weapon to the same security agent and remained in a corner of the establishment until the arrival of members of the National Police, who proceeded to arrest her.
So far, authorities have not offered official details on the exact number of people injured or their health condition, while investigations continue to clarify what happened.
