Bisonó highlighted the institutional commitment to transparency, accountability, and the continuous improvement of processes, noting that the ministry is moving towards ISO certifications and the digitalization of its management. For his part, Ortiz Bosch explained that this tool, supported by Resolution DIGEIG 05-2024, seeks to establish itself as an effective mechanism to prevent irregularities and guarantee compliance with ethical principles in the public function. He added that it responds to OECD recommendations on integrity systems with effective controls and reliable reporting channels. The Citizen Complaint Physical Mailbox allows citizens to submit complaints about possible irregularities. These will be managed exclusively by the DIGEIG, guaranteeing confidentiality, protection of the complainant, and impartiality in the process. Santo Domingo. – The General Directorate of Ethics and Governmental Integrity (DIGEIG) began delivering the Physical Citizen Complaint Box in the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), a tool designed to prevent and detect irregularities and strengthen the internal processes of the State.
The mailbox was received by Minister Víctor “Ito” Bisonó from the hands of the director of DIGEIG, Milagros Ortiz Bosch, as part of the strengthening of the National Integrity System promoted by the Government.
