DN Senate allocates Gadiel fund to education of 9 children with ASD and ADHD

Santo Domingo.- The Senatorial Office of the National District announced this Sunday that it will subsidize for one year the education of nine children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special conditions that affect learning. Omar Fernández, senator for the National District, explained that the purpose is to guarantee the education of these children regardless of their economic or social condition.

“Every peso this office receives must be returned to the people, because these resources belong to them,” explained the senator.

Of the cases that this office will assist, 8 children received a year of schooling, five of them total and the rest of the partial attendances.

The ninth case includes therapeutic assistance to a child diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The National District office directly distributed to the centers where these children will receive education RD$1,059,000 received in August, for the concept of the social assistance fund, thus complying with standards that guarantee assistance to the final beneficiaries.
