Regarding comparative data, the minister indicated that in the year 2025 so far, 586 homicides have been registered, which represents a reduction of 38 cases compared to the same period in 2024, when 624 were recorded. Raful underscored that each homicide represents a challenge for law enforcement authorities, and insisted on the importance of the articulated and continuous work of the prevention system to reduce these events.“We continue to work tirelessly to strengthen preventive actions and guarantee greater security for the population,” he concluded.
