Santo Domingo.– Leonel García and Noel Schajris return to the Dominican Republic this Saturday, August 29, with a journey through a discography that has left behind classics such as “Entra en mi vida”, “Kilómetros”, “Mientes tan bien”, and “Que lloro”, twenty-six years after joining their voices and becoming one of the most representative duos of romantic pop in Spanish.
“Escenas Tour” is scheduled for 8:30 PM at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center Softball Stadium in Santo Domingo, produced by César Suárez Jr. The concert will combine the greatest hits that have accompanied the public for more than two decades with songs from Escenas, his record production released this year.
The return finds Sin Bandera in a special stage: celebrating more than a quarter of a century since the birth of a project that turned García and Schajris’ ballads into part of the sentimental soundtrack for several generations.
Two voices that found the same path
Sin Bandera was born from the artistic union of the Mexican Leonel García and the Argentine Noel Schajris, two singer-songwriters who initially pursued individual careers and discovered that their compositions acquired a particular identity when they performed them together.
The musical affinity between both was marked from the beginning by influences ranging from pop and Latin American song to jazz, R&B, and soul. Over time, they developed a sound characterized by vocal harmonies, piano, romantic lyrics, and an interpretation that turned the duo into one of the benchmarks of contemporary Spanish-language ballads.

Their first album, Sin Bandera, appeared in 2002 and paved the way with songs that would end up becoming classics of their repertoire, including “Entra en mi vida”, “Kilómetros” and “Sirena”.
The initial success did not remain a passing phenomenon. In 2003 came “De viaje”, an album that consolidated the duo and left tracks like “Mientes tan bien”, “Que lloro”, “De viaje” and “Puede ser”, reinforcing a formula based on lyrics about falling in love, breakups, and the contradictions of relationships.
A discography marked by ballads
Those first works were followed by Mañana, published in 2005, and subsequently Pasado, in 2006. The first stage of the duo ended with a separation that allowed García and Schajris to develop their respective solo careers for several years.

However, seven years later they decided to resume the project. Their reunion produced Una Última Vez, in 2016, as well as the acoustic project Primera Fila Acústico “Una Última Vez – Encore”. In 2022 they presented Frecuencia and, four years later, came Escenas, their most recent production.
“Escenas”, released in February 2026, contains 10 songs and was recorded in Nashville under the production of Áureo Baqueiro and Daniel “Vago” Galindo. The album’s concept revolves around moments and experiences that end up marking different stages of life.
Awards and international recognition
The impact of Sin Bandera has also been reflected in major Latin music awards.
The Latin Recording Academy records two Latin Grammy wins and seven nominations for the duo throughout their career.
Their relevance was demonstrated once again in 2025, when Sin Bandera was among the nominees for Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Duo or Group, at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, sharing the category with groups such as Maná, Morat, Ha-Ash, and Jesse & Joy.
Beyond the awards, their longevity is explained by a repertoire that continues to connect with new generations and that turned songs of love and heartbreak into pieces recognizable from their very first chords.

“Escenas Tour” arrives in the Dominican Republic
This Saturday, the Dominican public will once again have the opportunity to encounter that repertoire.
The production has announced that “Entra en mi vida”, “Kilómetros”, “Que lloro”, “Que me alcance la vida”, “Mientes tan bien”, “Suelta mi mano”, “Sirena” and “De viaje” will be among the songs that will be part of the musical journey, along with compositions from Escenas.
The show will take place at the Softball Stadium of the Olympic Center and is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m.
