Government inaugurates two police stations in María Trinidad Sánchez to reinforce security

Nagua, María Trinidad Sánchez. – The Government, through the Presidential Commission for Support to Provincial Development (CPADP), inaugurated two police stations in this province with the aim of strengthening citizen security and improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers.
The acts were led by the head of the CPADP, Ángel de la Cruz, and the director general of the National Police of the Dominican Republic, Major General Andrés Modesto Cruz Cruz. Also participating were the provincial governor María López de Espinal, the regional director of the Police, General Francisco Ortega Brito, as well as municipal authorities and community leaders.
The new infrastructure is located in the Copeyito sector of the municipality of Río San Juan, and in the San José de Pastrana community, in Cabrera.
During the event, Cruz Cruz thanked for the delivery of the works and stated that they will contribute to improving security in the area. Likewise, he announced that the Copeyito detachment will be equipped with a truck and motorcycles to reinforce preventive work.
For his part, De la Cruz highlighted that these constructions are part of the commitment of the government headed by President Luis Abinader to promote projects that strengthen the security and development of communities.
The Copeyito station has 344 square meters of construction and will directly benefit more than 3,000 residents, in addition to impacting the municipality of Río San Juan. While the San José de Pastrana detachment, with 165 square meters, has areas for receiving complaints, dormitories for agents, cells for men and women, investigation offices and service spaces.
With these inaugurations, the authorities seek to reinforce the police presence and improve the response capacity to the security needs of the province’s residents.
