Santo Domingo.– The Central Electoral Board (JCE) reported that a delegation from the institution is in Peru as part of international electoral observation missions for the second round of the presidential elections that this South American nation will hold this June 7.
The Dominican delegation is composed of the titular member of the JCE Plenary, Dolores Fernández Sánchez, and Alfonso Jáquez, head of Postgraduate Studies at the Higher Specialized Institute for Political, Electoral and Civil Registry Training (IESPEC).
According to the entity, Fernández Sánchez is participating in the mission organized by the Inter-American Union of Electoral Bodies (UNIORE), while Jáquez is part of the delegation accredited by the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB).

The participation of both officials is part of the cooperation and support programs developed by international electoral bodies to observe the development of democratic processes and share experiences on best practices in electoral matters.
