A delegation led by the party president, Eng. Milton Morrison, is accompanying the presidential elections this Sunday, June 7, in which more than 27 million Peruvians will elect their next president and vice president
Lima, Peru .- The País Posible Party reaffirms its commitment to strengthening democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean by participating as an international observer in the second round of the presidential elections of the Republic of Peru, which is being held this Sunday, June 7, as part of the mission of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL).
The possibilist delegation is made up of three members of the Political Committee —the party president, Eng. Milton Morrison, together with Maxi Manzueta and Bill Perdomo—, and also includes leaders of the National Executive Committee and other party cadres, such as the possibilists Martín Chávez and Bethania Domínguez, among others.
More than 27 million voters are eligible to head to the polls in a day that will define the next president and vice president of Peru and which also marks the country’s return to a bicameral Congress. This is a process of special relevance for the democratic stability of one of the key countries in the Andean region, following a cycle of marked political turbulence.

During the mission, observers accompany the different stages of the process, the opening of the polling stations, the development of the day, the counting and consolidation of results, and hold institutional meetings with the electoral authorities responsible for organizing and supervising the elections.

Morrison warned about the gradual erosion facing democracy in the region, characterized by the weakening of the rule of law, the advance of organized crime, persistent economic inequality, polarization, and the concentration of power driven by populist leaderships from within the democratic systems themselves.
Likewise, he highlighted that, together with the president of COPPPAL, Senator Alejandro Moreno (PRI), and the parties that make up the organization, work is being done in a sustained manner to raise the quality of democracy, modernize the party system and recover closeness with the citizenry, guaranteeing better conditions for access to education, health and decent employment, within the framework of citizen equality before the law.
The participation provides continuity to the internationalization process promoted by País Posible, which a few days ago also joined the COPPPAL observation mission in the Colombian presidential elections, held on May 31st. With this, the organization reaffirms its decision to continue training prepared leaders and strengthening its presence in the main democratic spaces of the continent.
