The DGM explained that yesterday’s was a special operation and that it has been a historic day for the institution, as it is the first time it has carried out operations nationwide on the same date. He highlighted that after the graduation of the 865 agents on December 4th, it now has a reinforced operational structure that includes logistics, specialized transportation, and assigned personnel in each province, and this will also allow for the gradual expansion of immigration control, monitoring the flows of irregular immigrants continuously, always respecting established protocols and human rights. This expansion, he explained, will include the opening of more provincial offices, from which -as in the main headquarters- command and control of the provincial structures will be held. With this comprehensive national coverage, the DGM consolidates an efficient, modern, and transparent migration management, ensuring institutional presence throughout the national territory and facilitating its operational deployment, thus contributing to the strengthening of the country’s security and migration order, the information assured.
