PN Director in Santiago highlights the capture of four accused of raping a young woman in Villa González; two others surrendered

Santiago. – After midnight on Saturday, the National Police arrested in the town of Lomita, Villa González municipality, four of the six men accused of drugging and sexually abusing a young woman, an act that caused great indignation in the population. The Cibao Central regional director of the Police, General Juan Bautista Jiménez Reynoso, highlighted the effectiveness of the operation and the collaboration of the community in achieving the capture of the fugitives. The detainees were identified as Yamir Fernando Pérez Toribio (a) Ferere, Javier Eduardo Núñez Toribio (a) Bebe, Oniel Rafael Pichardo Martínez (a) Contreras and Delfry de Jesús Rodríguez (a) Yiyo.

Jiménez Reynoso recalled that earlier, on Friday, Edwin Manuel Castro (a) El Guaro and José Alfonso Rubiera, 29 years old, had voluntarily surrendered, the latter in Santo Domingo, the former being the first to place himself at the disposal of justice. The six individuals involved were already placed under the control of the Public Ministry, for the corresponding legal purposes.
