Police arrest two Haitians for kidnapping two minors and extortion in Santiago

Santiago.- The National Police arrested a man and a woman of Haitian nationality, identified as Pascilien Vixama, alias “El Coyote”, and Isrrok Remushel, both residents of Santo Domingo Oeste, for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of two minors and the extortion of their mother, also a Haitian citizen.

The police spokesperson in this city, Fiordaliza Popa Arias, reported that according to the complaint filed on May 26, the mother had left her children in Vixama’s care at a hotel located in the Ensanche Libertad sector of this city. Upon returning, the individual had fled with the minors and subsequently demanded the payment of 500 US dollars to return them, alleging a supposed debt for transportation from Haiti.

Arias indicated that the detainees were subject to arrest warrant No. AJ0032511-2025. Both will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the coming hours, while the minors were recovered safe and sound in Santo Domingo.
