Preventive prison requested against motorcyclist accused of assaulting TRAE driver in Santo Domingo Oeste
Santo Domingo.– The Public Ministry requested preventive detention, as a coercive measure, against a motorcyclist accused of physically and verbally assaulting a driver of the Student Transportation System (TRAE), in an incident that occurred in the El Café de Herrera sector, Santo Domingo Oeste municipality.
The defendant, identified as Gregori Gelabert González, alias “Negro Malo,” is accused of having attacked the school bus driver Henry Yubane Arias González, after an alleged traffic incident recorded in the morning, while the vehicle was transporting students to an educational center.
According to the request for a coercive measure, the event originated after a slight contact between a motorcycle and the school transport unit, which would have triggered an argument that escalated to physical aggression.
The file states that the defendant allegedly hit the driver, causing contusions on his face, and that he also assaulted the vehicle’s assistant, who tried to intervene during the altercation. It is also indicated that a third person was affected when trying to record what happened.
