Raquel Peña presides third session of public hearings of the CNM to elect judges of the SCJ and the TSE

Santo Domingo.— Vice President Raquel Peña, representing President Luis Abinader, is currently leading the third session of public hearings of the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM), where candidates are being evaluated to fill vacancies in the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) and the Superior Electoral Tribunal (TSE). President Abinader requested a five-minute break during the session, being temporarily replaced by the vice president, who assumed the presidency and moderation of the CNM.

The day takes place in the Las Cariátides Hall of the National Palace, where 21 of the 83 applicants will be evaluated. In the previous sessions, 41 applicants were evaluated: 21 in the first round, held on November 11, and 20 in the second, held on the 14th.
