Two injured after a confrontation in a domino game in Los Botados de Yamasá

Monte Plata. – Two men were injured during a violent confrontation that occurred in the El Callejón sector, of the municipal district Los Botados of the municipality of Yamasá, after a discussion originated in a game of dominoes. The most seriously injured person was identified as Yunior, a resident of the La Javilla sector, who has multiple stab wounds to the head, face, arm, and back, and was urgently transferred to the Dr. Ney Arias Lora traumatology hospital in Santo Domingo Norte, where he remains under specialized medical care. The other person involved, identified only as Linares, was also injured during the incident. According to reports, upon presenting himself at a health center to receive medical attention, he was immediately apprehended by the authorities, remaining in custody for investigation purposes.

According to versions gathered at the scene, the conflict began while Linares was participating in a game of dominoes. After losing several games, Yunior allegedly arrived at the establishment and began to make fun of him, which generated an argument that escalated in tone. According to the testimonies, during the altercation Yunior would have taken out a knife, a situation that caused Linares to withdraw from the place. Subsequently, he returned to the site, resulting in a new confrontation with bladed weapons, in which both were injured.
