Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader appointed José Antonio Aybar Félix as president of the National Commission of Public Shows and Radio Broadcasting through decree 289-25.

He has worked in prestigious newspapers such as Hoy, La Nación, Listín Diario and Última Hora, as well as in the magazines Cañabrava and Bemoles. Currently, Aybar is the editor of the magazine ¡Qué Pasa! of the newspaper El Nacional, the only evening newspaper in the Dominican Republic, and director of the digital testigo.com.do. His career in radio has taken him through emblematic stations such as Zol 106.5 FM, Romántica FM, Independencia FM, HIN Radio Oriente, Neón 89.3 FM, and Dominicana FM. In addition, in New York he hosted art and show segments on La Kalle and Wado. Among his most outstanding projects are “El Vacilón del Sábado” and “Vacilando la Tarde”, both on Neón 89.3 FM. In television, he served as press director of Isla Visión, channel 53, and was a commentator on programs such as La Alegría del Mediodía and Con Domingo y El Pachá. He is an active member of numerous professional entities, including the Latin Recording Academy and Acroarte, where he was president between 2013 and 2015. Currently, he is vice president of ADOPAE and is part of Fundomúsica, where he coordinates projects from its board of directors.
