Added to this is the beauty of the country and its culture, showcasing paradisiacal beaches, colorful landscapes, and the Dominican identity. Furthermore, local artists are highlighted, such as Yasser Tejeda, who provides the Dominican musical touch in this important Hollywood production.

The award-winning Dominican musician, composer, and producer Yasser Tejeda, along with his group composed of talented artists such as Jonathan “JBlak” Troncoso, Francis Peña, Edwin Camilo, and Chris Hierro, son of the great Henry Hierro, appears in several scenes of the film. Their participation brings authenticity and Dominican musical essence, especially in the scenes related to the visit of Jackie and the co-star to the Dominican Republic, where they perform several of the production’s songs.

This film puts the Dominican Republic back on the global radar, not only as a tourist destination but also as an ideal setting for international film productions, joining other movies that have also been filmed in the country.

“Office Romance”, titled “Turbulencia en la oficina” in Spanish, is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a secret office romance, starring two workaholics who decide to follow their hearts.

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein play Jackie, an airline CEO, and Daniel, her company’s lawyer, respectively. “Office Romance” is a classic romantic comedy, but with unexpected twists,” comments Lopez. “It’s a bit different from other romantic comedies I’ve done, which tend to be sweeter and more demure.”

Written by Goldstein and Joe Kelly, the film is directed by Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again) and features Betty Gilpin. In addition, it reunites Lopez with Edward James Olmos, who played her father in the film “Selena” (1997) and reprises that role in this production.
