Santo Domingo. – The Telemundo network reality show, “Miss Universe Latina; The Reality”, in which the representative of the Latin community in the 74th edition of Miss Universe will be chosen, is reaching its grand finale, with only eight finalists remaining, including two Dominicans, who will compete tonight for the coveted crown.
Yamilex Hernández and Gemmy Quelliz, two of the five Dominicans who entered the reality show, could make history tonight by becoming the winner of the contest, which would ensure their direct pass to the international stage of Miss Universe 2025.

Following the elimination of Skarxi Marte, also from the Dominican Republic, which occurred on Sunday night, Yamilex and Gemmy managed to advance to the grand final, positioning themselves as two of the big favorites for the title, both for their performance and for the support of the public.

- Gemmy Quelliz
Gemmy Quelliz, 32 years old, is originally from the Catanga sector of Los Minas, migrating to the United States as a child where she has become one of the most important Dominican top models of recent times, with a successful career of more than 15 years on international runways.
She is the mother of an 11-year-old child, but this has not limited her from pursuing her dreams. She entered the modeling industry at the age of 16, going through the renowned Elite Models agency where she worked with important international brands including: Covergirl, Forever 21, Mandee, Bebe and Hyundai.
She was Top 3 of Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2023, being one of the first mothers to qualify in the national pageant.
- Yamilex Hernández
- Yamilex Hernández is 29 years old, she is a Dominican model from Santiago de los Caballeros, based in New Jersey.
She holds a degree in Communication Studies, Media, and Film, and also has experience in pageants, participating twice in the Miss Dominican Republic Universe in the years 2021, where she was second runner-up, and 2023, obtaining the title of first runner-up.
She participated in Miss International 2023 representing the Dominican Republic and is a queen with extensive experience in beauty pageants.
He entered the media by hosting news programs at Grupo SIN and other radio stations.
