DUM Editorial.- Disney took advantage of the 2026 edition of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event to reveal a wide list of news about its upcoming film, television, video game, and theme park projects.
Among the announcements that drew the most attention are new details for “Frozen 3”, “Coco 2”, “Incredibles 3”, “X-Men”, “Avengers: Doomsday” and a new “Star Wars” movie starring Ryan Gosling.
“Frozen 3” introduces a new threat
One of the most anticipated announcements was related to “Frozen 3”, a film that showed new images of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven. The material presented anticipates the arrival of a new villain whose powers would be comparable to Elsa’s. Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, the voices of Anna and Elsa in the original English version, participated during the presentation.
“Frozen 3” will arrive in theaters on November 24, 2027.
“Coco 2” will take the audience back to the Land of the Dead
Pixar also revealed news about “Coco 2”, a continuation of the story set in the Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead.
The presentation showed Miguel as a teenager and confirmed the return of Ernesto de la Cruz, one of the central characters from the first film. The new story will once again explore the Land of the Dead and is scheduled for release in November 2029.

“Incredibles 3” already has a release date
The film will be directed by Peter Sohn, known for his work on “Elemental”, and will have an exclusively theatrical release on June 16, 2028.

During D23, a preview of the new “The Simpsons” movie was shown, which is scheduled for release on September 3, 2027.
Material from “Ice Age: Boiling Point” was also presented, a new installment in the franchise that will feature dinosaurs and lava as part of its adventure. Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, and Buck will be back in the story, accompanied by Scrat, Baby Scrat, and a new character named Jurassic Scrat.
The film will hit theaters on February 5, 2027.
On the other hand, Disney confirmed that “Zootopia 3” is officially in development, although it does not yet have an announced release date.
Marvel prepares the return of “Avengers” and the new “X-Men”
Kevin Feige appeared alongside Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Hayley Atwell to show a new teaser for “Avengers: Doomsday”, which is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026.
Disney also revealed part of the cast for the upcoming “X-Men” movie: Kit Connor will play Cyclops; Christopher Abbott will be Charles Xavier; Samara Weaving will bring Emma Frost to life; Inde Navarrette will play Rogue; Maya Boyd will be Storm and Sadie Sink will embody Jean Grey.

The film will follow a character who will be involved in a dangerous adventure across the galaxy.

Among the company’s other announcements is “Lilo & Stitch 2”, which will begin production in Hawaii and is scheduled for theatrical release on May 26, 2028.
