Santo Domingo. Dominican music producer and mixer Javy Joel Corona, artistically known as DJ Patio, shared key details of his professional career, his international growth, and the elements that have marked his consolidation in the music industry, during an interview with content creator Dotol Nastra. Originally from the Los Mina sector in Santo Domingo Este, DJ Patio explained that his artistic evolution took a decisive turn during his first tour of Europe, an experience that defined his identity on stage and allowed him to understand that authenticity and naturalness were essential to connect with the public and strengthen his proposal.

According to what he recounted, his first presentations were carefully structured; however, it was spontaneity that ended up making the difference in his career.With over a decade of experience, DJ Patio has built a solid career as a music producer, collaborating with prominent figures in the urban genre such as El Alfa, Farruko, Myke Towers, Jowell, Yailin La Más Viral, Pablo Piddy, El Mayor, El Cherry, Bulín 47, Kiko el Crazy, among others, which has allowed him to gain recognition both nationally and internationally. His impact on the music scene was also evident with his participation in the Amazon Music documentary “La Cuna del Dembow”, a production that highlights the influence and global expansion of the Dominican urban movement, and in which DJ Patio figures as an active part of this new generation of protagonists.
“Dotol, in my first show I took my prepared phrases from here, all squared. It went well, but in the second one I decided to be genuine and spontaneous, and from that day everything changed; people liked it a lot”, he expressed.
Although he acknowledged that he currently earns more as a DJ, he emphasized that everything he has achieved is based on his training as a producer, which allows him to offer more solid, creative, and differentiated performances. That work was recognized in November 2025, when he was awarded DJ of the Year at the Glamour Music Awards RD, one of the most relevant awards in the local music scene.
During the interview, he also valued his experience alongside Dominican urban exponents, highlighting Musicólogo as one of the easiest artists to work with, due to his natural talent. Likewise, he pointed out that the support of the artist Rochy RD, who opened the doors for him to accompany him in live performances, was decisive in showing his skill in mixing and reading the audience. Currently, DJ Patio drives “La Session”, an audiovisual and musical project in which he is accompanied by national and international artists. Among the collaborations, one with Myke Towers stands out, which has accumulated more than 992,000 views on his official YouTube channel in just 4 months, reflecting the sustained growth of the project and its reach outside the country.
