The Haitian National Police (PNH) received this Thursday three armored tracked vehicles, donated by the Government of the Republic of South Korea, as part of the bilateral cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening the security capabilities of the Caribbean country.
The institution reported the delivery through its official account on the social network X, highlighting that the new equipment will improve the operational capacity of the PNH in its operations against the armed gangs and violent groups operating in different areas of Haitian territory.

Authorities noted that this donation is part of the
international support that seeks to reinforce Haiti’s security institutions, in a context marked by
serious challenges in terms of public order and citizen protection. They also emphasized that cooperation with South Korea remains active in key strategic areas for the country’s stability.
In parallel, the United States has also intensified its support for Haiti in terms of security. A few days ago,
three U.S. warships were deployed off the coast of
Port-au-Prince as part of
Operation Southern Spear, authorities reported.
This naval deployment aims to
strengthen maritime security and support regional efforts aimed at restoring order and stability in Haiti. Haitian authorities positively valued these actions, noting that they add to the multilateral efforts to address the security crisis the country is going through.
