Iran warned the United States that any further “aggression, intimidation or barbarity” would be met with an immediate and “devastating response,” according to the Central Headquarters Khatam al Anbiya, the country’s main military command.
Major General Ali Abdolahi said any “act of ambition, intimidation, totalitarianism and barbarity” by the United States would trigger a forceful reaction from Iran’s Armed Forces.
“Any act of ambition, intimidation, totalitarianism and barbarity will be met with a strong and devastating response,” Abdolahi said in remarks carried by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency. He added that Iran would impose costs greater than those of what he described as the country’s “second and third imposed wars.”
Abdolahi also stressed the importance of maintaining unity between the Iranian people, the armed forces and government institutions, describing internal cohesion as the country’s main strategic tool to counter political and military pressure from the United States.
