Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed for Washington ahead of a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, saying the talks will focus on a range of issues, with Iran at the top of the agenda.
Before leaving, Netanyahu described Trump as “our friend” and noted that this will be their eighth meeting since Trump returned to office, saying he has met with the U.S. president more than with any other international leader.
Netanyahu said he is traveling to Washington with what he described as a clear objective: to ensure the security, strength and future of the State of Israel.
