“Trump registered his home goods trademark in Venezuela, according to his financial disclosure”

Washington – U.S. President Donald Trump maintains his “TRUMP HOME” trademark registered in Venezuela, according to his most recent financial disclosure released by the Office of Government Ethics (OGE).

The document details that the brand is registered with the Venezuelan Autonomous Service of Intellectual Property (SAPI) in several product classes related to household items, including kitchen utensils, tableware, textiles, and domestic objects.

The statement identifies multiple consecutive records under the name “TRUMP HOME”, all with a “registered” status in Venezuela.

The document does not indicate that the trademark is currently in commercial use in the country, nor does it report any revenue associated with its exploitation in Venezuelan territory.

Trump’s financial disclosure

Financial disclosure statements of high-ranking officials in the United States include intellectual property assets such as trademarks in various countries, regardless of whether or not there is active commercial activity.

This is the first time the president has included the presence of his brand in Venezuela in a financial disclosure, coinciding with the resumption of relations between both nations since the capture of Nicolás Maduro on January 3rd.

Trump’s new financial disclosure, released on June 29, shows a significant weight of cryptocurrencies in his income portfolio.

According to the document, the president obtained more than 1.4 billion dollars linked to digital projects, mainly through his family business World Liberty Financial and the sale of assets and licenses associated with cryptocurrencies and “memecoins”.

The 927-page report also reflects revenue from brand licensing, stock market investments, and real estate businesses, in a portfolio that exceeds 2 billion dollars in total revenue.
