VIDEO: Turkey showcases swarm of kamikaze “mosquito” drones

Turkey’s Ministry of Defense has released footage showing its Sivrisinek kamikaze drones operating in coordinated swarms, taking off together, flying in formation and diving toward designated targets in successive waves before detonating.
The name Sivrisinek translates to “mosquito” in Spanish. According to the report, the small fixed-wing drones use artificial intelligence to coordinate their movements and carry out attacks against marked targets.
The drones reportedly have a range of more than 1,000 kilometers and can navigate without relying on GPS. The footage, released Tuesday, October 13, demonstrates their ability to operate as a coordinated group during simulated attack sequences.
