Karl-Anthony Towns is selected as a reserve for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game

NEW YORK.– The New York Knicks center, Karl-Anthony Towns, was selected as an Eastern Conference reserve player for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the league reported on Sunday night.

Towns will join his teammate Jalen Brunson, who was chosen as a starter, on the East roster for the game to be held on February 15 at the Intuit Dome, in Los Angeles, home of the Clippers. The interior of New York is part of the group of seven Eastern reserves, along with Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers), Jalen Johnson (Hawks), Pascal Siakam (Pacers), Norman Powell (Heat), Scottie Barnes (Raptors) and Jalen Duren (Pistons).

For the Western Conference, the players selected as reserves were Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Jamal Murray (Nuggets), Chet Holmgren (Thunder), Kevin Durant (Rockets), Devin Booker (Suns) and LeBron James (Lakers).

With this distinction, Karl-Anthony Towns reaches his sixth All-Star Game appearance, having been previously selected in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2024, and 2025, solidifying himself as one of the most consistent big men in the NBA. In the 2025-26 season, Towns averaged 20 points and 11.8 rebounds per game in 45 games, averaging 31.6 minutes per game, being a key player in the performance of the Knicks. The presence of two New York players in the All-Star game reflects the team’s impact and prominence in the Eastern Conference during the current season.
