New York.– Last Sunday, July 26, the Great Dominican Parade of the Bronx was held, one of the most important cultural events of the Dominican diaspora in the United States, which every year brings together thousands of people and prominent personalities to exalt the culture and traditions of the Dominican Republic.
In its 37th edition, the activity was dedicated to the San Cristóbal province and paid a posthumous tribute to Rubby Pérez, recognized as one of the most iconic voices of merengue.
The parade traveled along the iconic Grand Concourse avenue, from the intersection of 181st Street to 165th Street. The celebration featured the participation of more than 40 cultural groups and around 30 official floats, which showcased live music, traditional troupes, and colorful costumes typical of the Dominican carnival, including the iconic ‘diablos cojuelos’.
Recognition for 002 Radio TV
As part of the event’s tradition, individuals and media outlets that have stood out for their contribution to journalism and communication were recognized. Among them, the platform 002 Radio TV, whose director, engineer Pascual Linarez, received an award for his career and commitment to the practice of reporting.
The recognition plaque highlights:
“In recognition of their leadership and commitment to journalism and digital communication, promoting responsible informative practice and strengthening the development of media in San Cristóbal.”
Upon receiving the recognition, Linarez expressed his gratitude and dedicated the distinction to the entire team that is part of 002 Radio TV.
