The authorities presume that the incident occurred due to an exchange of crossfire between two individuals, one of whom remains at large.

The shooting occurred around 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time (01:00 GMT) in the Seattle Center area. The space, known for its tourist and cultural value, is home to the Space Needle, the city’s most iconic tower.

The United States has recorded 271 mass shootings so far this year, involving four or more victims excluding the shooter, according to the count by the civil organization Gun Violence Archive (GVA).
