Carolina Mejía asks Google Maps to update images of the capital

Santo Domingo.- The Mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, requested that Google Maps update the images of Santo Domingo, considering that the city has undergone significant transformations in recent years.

Through a post on her Instagram account, the municipal executive made the request in a friendly manner and highlighted that the changes made in the capital are visible thanks to the work of organizing and recovering public spaces.

“A friendly request to @googlemaps: an update wouldn’t hurt at all. Because when you work with vision, order, and firmness, the changes speak for themselves,” wrote Mejía.

During her administration, the mayor has promoted various projects focused on the rehabilitation of parks, squares, sidewalks, curbs, and other public areas, in addition to initiatives to improve cleanliness, urban order, and mobility in the National District.

With her post, Carolina Mejía implied that the images available on the platform no longer reflect the current reality of several sectors of the capital, so she invited the technology company to update its mapping service.
