Santo Domingo.– The Civil Defense maintains a search and rescue operation deployed on España Avenue, near the Juan Carlos bridge, after a man disappeared after falling into the waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Since the report was received, specialized brigades from the Ozama Regional office have traveled to various points along the coastline in an effort to locate the person. The efforts include inspections along the coast and patrols in the area where the incident occurred.
The authorities reported that, despite hours of searching, it has not been possible to locate the missing person so far. However, they assured that personnel will remain in the area and will continue operations until all possibilities are exhausted.
The institution indicated that the operation remains active and urged citizens to keep the area clear to facilitate the work of the rescue teams.

So far, the man’s identity has not been revealed, nor have details been provided regarding the circumstances that led to his fall into the sea. Authorities continue to investigate the case as search efforts proceed.
