Copa Airlines restarts Panama – Santiago operations with 3 weekly frequencies

Copa Airlines connects with four destinations: Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata and Santiago.


Santiago.– Copa Airlines consolidates its presence in the Dominican Republic with the restart of operations to and from the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, with three weekly frequencies, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, connecting Tocumen International Airport with Cibao International Airport.

With this operation, the airline expands travel options from Cibao to North, Central, and South America, through its Hub of the Americas, located at Tocumen International Airport, in Panama City, facilitating business trips, trade, and the mobility of the Dominican diaspora. José Clase, vice president of the Board of Directors of the Cibao International Airport, highlighted the importance of Copa Airlines’ flight from Santiago, which allows connection with Central America and South America, as well as with other destinations such as Mexico.

Likewise, Clase highlighted that this alliance with Copa Airlines reaffirms the commitment of the Cibao International Airport to offer its passengers new and better connectivity options.

Ibelca Vásquez, general manager of Copa Airlines in the Dominican Republic, highlighted that “the reincorporation of Santiago de los Caballeros to our network significantly strengthens the connectivity of the Cibao region with the main markets of the continent, facilitating business trips, trade, and links with the Dominican diaspora. For Copa Airlines, this advance reaffirms our long-term commitment to the country and the development of its regions.

Starting January 15, 2026, flight CM480 will depart from Panama at 11:26 a.m., arriving at Cibao International Airport at 2:56 p.m.. Flight CM483 will return on the same days at 3:51 p.m., landing in Panama at 5:43 p.m. (local time).
