Santo Domingo. – In an atmosphere of dialogue, integration, and civic engagement, the Socio-Political-Business Forum of Santo Domingo Oeste (FORUM SOPESADO) successfully held the first edition of its “Entre Vinos” (Among Wines) gathering, an initiative conceived to bring together representatives from the business, community, political, academic, cultural, and institutional sectors for the purpose of exchanging ideas, strengthening alliances, and promoting proposals aimed at the sustainable development of the municipality.
The activity was held in the side corridor of the first level of Plaza Occidental Mall and featured broad participation from business owners, professionals, community leaders, representatives of social organizations, and special guests, who shared a space for reflection on the main challenges and opportunities facing Santo Domingo Oeste.
The meeting was organized by a team led by Mr. Silverio Lebrón, together with Mr. Robinson Lorenzo, Ms. América Pérez, and Mr. Joel Suero, with the support of various personalities, business organizations, institutions, and social actors committed to the development of the municipality.
During his keynote remarks, Silverio Lebrón expressed his gratitude for the support received from attendees and collaborators, while explaining the vision and objectives of FORUM SOPESADO. He highlighted that this initiative seeks to awaken in all sectors an awareness of the need to promote the development of Santo Domingo Oeste from a collaborative perspective, avoiding partisan or confrontational approaches regarding the management of the authorities.

“Our purpose is to generate the spark that motivates all sectors to actively get involved in building the municipality we deserve, promoting dialogue and the search for joint solutions,” expressed Lebrón.
The meeting’s agenda addressed topics considered strategic for the future of the municipality, including:
Municipal Identity: importance for the development of Santo Domingo Oeste, presented by attorney Gustavo Ramírez Merán.
Involvement of the business, cultural, community, and institutional sectors in municipal development, presented by engineer Juan Pérez.
Resource management: how to efficiently leverage available resources to drive development, developed by Professor Francisco Luciano.
Strategic planning as the basis for municipal development, addressed by Dr. Paola Dirocie and Mr. Dionisio de Moya.
Vision of Municipal Development according to Law 176-07, presented by Mr. Andrés Travieso.
Relevant historical, cultural, and demographic data of Santo Domingo Oeste, presented by Dr. Williams Hernández.
Likewise, Mr. José Miguel Zorrilla shared his reflections on the topics developed, giving way to an enriching exchange of opinions among the attendees, who contributed ideas and proposals to strengthen the municipal identity, encourage greater participation from the different social sectors, optimize the management of available resources, and promote strategic planning that guarantees orderly, inclusive, and sustainable development.
The master of ceremonies was handled by América Pérez, who conducted the event’s program with professionalism, contributing to the success of a day characterized by the exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of bonds between the participants.
For his part, the operational manager of the meeting, Robinson Lorenzo, highlighted that the progress of Santo Domingo Oeste will only be possible through the active and coordinated participation of all sectors of society, setting aside individual differences to work on common goals that benefit the entire population.
The organizers highlighted that this first edition of “Entre Vinos” marks the beginning of a permanent agenda of meetings aimed at fostering dialogue, cooperation, and the formulation of proposals that contribute to the economic, social, cultural, and institutional growth of the municipality.
