Santo Domingo Oeste.– Relatives of Rebeca Brizard de Mateo, 28, demanded this Saturday an exhaustive investigation to clarify the circumstances of her death, which occurred on July 24 while she was undergoing a surgical procedure at the Dra. Griselda Basora Obesity and Anti-Aging Clinic, located in Santo Domingo Oeste.
According to those close to her, the young woman died during the medical procedure. They claim that, after the incident, they did not receive a clear explanation of what happened and state that the medical staff allegedly abandoned the health center, leaving the patient’s body at the scene.
The relatives requested that the authorities conduct a transparent and independent investigation to establish the causes of death and determine if there was any liability on the part of the medical staff or the health center.
Likewise, they made a public appeal to Dr. Griselda Basora and those responsible for the clinic to offer their version of the events and cooperate with the investigations.
