JCE will deliver new IDs to Dominican players who will go to the 2026 World Baseball Classic
Santo Domingo.– In the framework of a dinner headed by President Luis Abinader with the Dominican-born players who will represent the country in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, the president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), Román Jáquez Liranzo, described the delivery of the new identity cards to the members of the national roster as an “institutional milestone”.
Jáquez explained that the process is part of the plan to modernize and strengthen the identity system, and that on this occasion it has focused on the players called to represent the Dominican Republic in the international event.
He detailed that on Monday and Tuesday, the capture of biometric data will be carried out, including fingerprints, photography, and digital signature. Subsequently, on Wednesday, the physical delivery of the new identity cards will be carried out, in a second phase organized under strict security protocols.
