Las Galeras, Samaná. – In a joint effort to improve the district’s road conditions, the Las Galeras City Hall, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and the Provincial Government of Samaná, began this Wednesday an operation to repair potholes in different strategic points of the community.
These actions are part of the preventive work for Holy Week 2026, with the aim of ensuring greater safety and fluidity on the roads with the most traffic, for both residents and visitors.
The mayor, Ana Reyes, highlighted the importance of these interventions, noting that they will significantly contribute to improving the image and functionality of the tourist district.
Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Public Works, engineer Eduardo Estrella, and the provincial governor, Teodora Mullix Geraldino, who jointly managed the execution of this operation, which will positively impact Las Galeras.
With these initiatives, the authorities reaffirm their commitment to continue strengthening the infrastructure and preparedness of the destination for one of the busiest seasons of the year.
