Ministry of Education informs school year break begins on December 19; classes resume on January 7, 2026

The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd) informed the entire educational community that the first class period of the 2025-2026 School Year will conclude next Friday, December 19th. Teaching will resume on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in all educational centers in the country, in accordance with the current school calendar. The Ministry of Education reiterated the call to parents and guardians to ensure the attendance and punctuality of students from the first day of the restart, as part of the joint effort to ensure the full use of class time.
