Santo Domingo. The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, led this Monday the 150th follow-up meeting of the Citizen Security Plan, during which the authorities evaluated the results of the actions executed by the Joint Task Force and defined new strategies to strengthen security and public order.
The meeting was held in the Officers’ Club Hall of the National Police Palace, where the agencies responsible for security followed up on crime indicators and coordinated upcoming actions to strengthen crime prevention and the response capacity of the institutions.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre; the Minister of Interior and Police, Faride Raful; the Commanding General of the Dominican Republic Army, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez; the Director General of the National Police, Major General Andrés Modesto Cruz Cruz, and the Director General of Migration, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester.
Also in attendance were the president of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa; the executive commissioner for Police Reform, Luis Ernesto García Hernández; and the Vice Minister of the Presidency for Special Projects and Security Coordination, Roger G. Pujols.
Also present were the Deputy Director of the National Police, General Esteban Figuereo García; the President of the National Drug Council, Alejandro de Jesús Abreu; the Director of the Military and Police Commission (Comipol), Colonel Jorge Rivera López; the Director of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (Digesett), General Pascual Cruz Méndez; the Director of the Tourism Police (Politur), General Minoru Matsunaga, and the Executive Director of the National Emergency and Security System 911, Pilot Colonel Randolfo Rijo.

The event also featured the participation of the director of the School Police, General Francisco Osoria de la Cruz; the director general of Prisons, Roberto Santana, and the director of the National Directorate for Children, Adolescents and Family (Dinnaf), Olga Diná Llaverías.
The meeting was also joined by a commission from the Public Ministry made up of chief prosecutors from different jurisdictions of the country, who presented reports on the crime situation in their respective areas and coordinated joint actions with security agencies to strengthen crime prevention and prosecution efforts.
