Los Alcarrizos.– Residents of the municipality of Los Alcarrizos expressed their satisfaction and enthusiasm after the inauguration of Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro, a work they consider transformative for mobility and quality of life in the area.
Several citizens consulted by De Último Minuto assured that the new service represents a historic change, significantly reducing travel times to the center of the capital and decreasing daily transportation expenses.

The Line 2C connects 14 densely populated communities in Santo Domingo Oeste, with five stations along the Duarte highway, which will allow thousands of people to save up to two hours a day during peak hours and reduce the cost of transportation by up to 60%.
During the inaugural event, led by President Luis Abinader, authorities highlighted that the new infrastructure will benefit more than one million inhabitants and will integrate hundreds of thousands of new users into the mass public transportation system.
The work in its initial phase will operate free of charge from this Wednesday, February 25th until Easter, with special hours: Monday to Friday from 6:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 6:00 in the evening to 10:00 at night; Saturdays from 6:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 12:00 noon to 4:00 in the afternoon; and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night.
