Santo Domingo.– The general secretary of the War Drivers Union (SICHOG), Juan Basora, together with members of the organization’s board, denied the rumors about a supposed transport strike called for this Monday and assured that the routes will operate normally.
During a meeting with the media, Basora described the information as a “false alarm” and stated that the union has not called for nor is it considering any suspension of its services.
“We want to tell our people and all users that this information is completely false. On Monday, we will be offering our service normally, as we have done for more than 43 years,” he/she stated.
The union leader indicated that SICHOG will keep the routes between Santo Domingo and Guerra active, guaranteeing the transport of users during the usual schedule and with the commitment to offer an efficient service.

Basora reiterated that the organization will continue working for the benefit of the community and thanked the residents of Guerra for the trust placed in them for more than four decades.
“Our people can rest easy. They will not have any inconvenience moving around this Monday. We will continue to offer transportation as usual, because our mission is to serve the community,” he concluded.
