Santo Domingo. – Banco de Reservas fully financed the 700 apartments of the San José residential complex, delivered this Friday by President Luis Abinader as part of the National Family Happy Housing Plan, an initiative aimed at expanding access for Dominican families to decent housing solutions.
n” “nEngineer Alieska Díaz, Senior Executive Vice President of Administration at Banreservas, who spoke on behalf of Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, Executive President of the institution, during the event in Santo Domingo Norte, highlighted that the entity allocated approximately RD$1.6 billion to finance the 700 units of the housing complex, with a fixed interest rate of 8% per year for seven years for the buyers.

n” “nDíaz reported that, at the time of the official handover of the residential complex, 430 buyers had completed their financing process and formalized the acquisition of their homes, benefiting more than 1,300 Dominicans who are beginning a new chapter under a roof of their own, safe and dignified. He specified that the number of financed beneficiaries will continue to increase in the coming days as the remaining buyers conclude the corresponding procedures.

n” “nBisonó highlighted that nearly 60% of the holders are women and a significant proportion corresponds to young people between 18 and 35 years old, evidencing the program’s impact on strategic sectors for national development.
n” “nThe minister also pointed out that the State’s support has been fundamental in facilitating access to these homes, through subsidies exceeding RD$477 million.

n” “nFor his part, Manuel Emilio Bisonó Pacheco, manager of the San José residential complex, stressed that this delivery represents a firm step in the goal of guaranteeing decent housing to hundreds of Dominican families.

n” “nHe indicated that the development, conceived under criteria of sustainability and integral well-being, includes its own aqueduct, wastewater treatment system, electrical networks, green areas, recreational spaces, and paved streets.

The complex features children’s play areas, a gazebo for social activities, and spacious green areas intended for the enjoyment of the residents.
