Santo Domingo.- The director of the Economic Dining Halls of the Dominican Republic highlighted that the institution has managed to expand its coverage to 159 dining halls throughout the national territory, despite maintaining the same budget allocated since 2020, without an increase. During the inauguration of 13 new dining halls, the official recalled that, at the beginning of the current government administration, on August 16, 2020, there were only 36 dining halls in operation. “Thanks to the support of President Luis Abinader and an efficient administration, today we can say that we have quadrupled the reach of our services without increasing the allocated expenditure. This represents a milestone in the country’s food security,” he expressed.
