Although he assured that he has no presidential aspirations at this moment, he acknowledged that “a two years away, it is impossible to say what could happen”.

The businessman also took the opportunity to emphasize that a possible candidacy is not built individually. “When a president comes to power, he doesn’t do it alone; a whole party arrives, an experienced technical team arrives,” he pointed out, insisting that the PLD will unite around the leader who achieves the greatest popular support at the appropriate time. Although he avoided committing to a specific political project, his words were interpreted by many as a sign that he does not rule out returning to the presidential race if circumstances favor him.
