Santo Domingo.- During a tour of the parishes of the National District on the occasion of the celebration of Corpus Christi, we asked believers about the meaning of this holiday.
Parishioners highlighted that the procession brings together children, youth, adults, and the elderly on the same path, strengthening bonds of friendship, solidarity, and commitment to the community, and noted that the Corpus Christi procession conveys a message of hope, love, and God’s closeness to those who usually attend church.

They explained that Corpus Christi is the celebration in which the Church proclaims and honors the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, remembering that He remains with His people and accompanies them in every moment of life.
