Mejía highlights the impact of the new overpass and celebrates the appointment of the US ambassador

Santo Domingo.– The former president of the Republic, Hipólito Mejía, attended this Wednesday the inauguration of the overpass on Isabel Aguiar Avenue with 27 de Febrero, where he congratulated President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Public Works, Eduardo Estrella, for the execution of a work that he described as “necessary and well done” to improve traffic in Greater Santo Domingo and facilitate travel to the south of the country.

“This work has sped up my journey to Baní and Azua. Very good, I congratulate the president and Osvaldo Estrella. This greatly improves the country’s connectivity,” expressed the former president, highlighting the positive impact that the infrastructure will have on regional mobility.

During his meeting with President Abinader, Mejía also commented on the official designation of the new United States ambassador to the country, whom he described as a diplomat with a good reputation and values. “They tell me she is a great ambassador, Catholic. I don’t know her, but I am pleased with her appointment,” he pointed out.

The former ruler, always spontaneous, seized the moment to highlight the atmosphere of progress and stability that the Dominican Republic is experiencing. “Excellent, my love, excellent”, he said smiling, while reiterating his support for the Government’s efforts in infrastructure and development.
