Santo Domingo.– The senator for the National District, Omar Fernández, registers 57.3% of preferences among the general population consulted on who they would like to be the presidential candidate for the People’s Force (FP) for the 2028 elections, according to an RD Elige measurement corresponding to September 2026.
When asked: “Who would you like to be the presidential candidate for the Fuerza del Pueblo for the 2028 elections?”, Omar Fernández obtained 57.3%, while the former President of the Republic and president of the organization, Leonel Fernández, reached 42.7%.
The results reflect a 14.6 percentage point difference between both leaders within the scenario presented to the general population.

The measurement thus places on the table a scenario of preferences between two of the main figures currently linked to the Fuerza del Pueblo, an organization that is preparing for the 2028 electoral cycle.
